Standard 6-Step Sole-Source Process
Decision
Decision is reached to issue a Direct Award to contractor.
Notification
Intent to Award letter with PWS is sent to the SBA representative.
Evaluation
SBA reviews project, makes determination that contractor is capable of execution.
Acceptance
SBA sends letter of acceptance to Contracting Officer (CO) & Specialist.
Authorization
CO informs contractor and agency that they may now enter into negotiations.
Award
Once mutually acceptable terms are agreed upon, contract is awarded.
Decision
Decision is reached to issue a Direct Award to contractor.
